The filter is intended to remove subtitles from movies.

Choosing the first or second pass

Write Subtitle Mask - detect subtitles and write subtitles mask and additional information to files

Read Subtitle Mask - read masks and additional information and remove subtitle

Choose work folder - very important parameter! The filter will write to this folder and will read from it!

First pass - subtitles detection

Position - detection area

Left - left border of detection area

Right - right border of detection area

Up - top border of detection area

Down - bottom border of detection area

Color (YUV Colorspace) - restrictions for subtitles color (YUV Colorspace). Default - there are no restrictions.

Y min - minimal value for Y-component

U min - minimal value for U-component

V min - minimal value for V-component

Y max - maximal value for Y-component

U max - maximal value for Y-component

V max - maximal value for V-component

Threshold - Threshold for subtitle detection. If this value is decreased the filter can find "unnecessary" pixels that subtitles don't contain. We recommend to decrease it only if filter detects the subtitles incompletely. We recommend to increase this parameter if filter removes useful information additionally to the subtitles.

Mask Quality - precision for subtitles appearing/disappearing detection. If to decrease the value the precision for appearing/disappearing will increase but also it will lead to additional files number increase.

Sub Time (frames) - minimal number of frames that subtitles are in the video. Very important parameter!

Sub Length (% of width) - minimal length of subtitles (in percents of frame's width). You can change this parameter only if you know the length of subtitles.

Second pass - subtitles removing

Use Only Blur - if you set this parameter then subtitles will be blurred (less quality - more speed)

Blur Threshold - threshold for using blur. If you decrease this parameter it could lead to better subtitles removal on scene changes but decrease the quality of removal for another cases

Dilations parameter that controls morphological operation called "dilation". It is used to eliminate some of the drawbacks of automatic detection algorithm. Also it can be increased if subtitles have degraded borders
